Welcome...
Our small kennel is located in Holden, Maine
on 12 fenced in country acres. We have been raising, training
and showing our dogs since 1965. We strive to produce the
English type conformation with gentle temperament and keen
intelligence. Our dogs must meet strict standards before we
consider breeding. This includes good health, annual eye
clearances by licensed Opthalmologists and Hip/Elbow clearances
with the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals.
Our dogs have been shown here
in the States, in Canada, Bermuda and Puerto Rico. They have
gone on to get their Show and Obedience titles. They have
also been trained for field and as Therapy Dogs, Search
and Rescue dogs, Arson and Drug dogs and Guide dogs. We
currently have two being trained to work with Autistic
children. Many more have gone on to be family
companions. Their owners keep us updated on their progress and
antics with photos.
A Puppy Packet goes with each puppy and is full
of information to help them adjust. It includes a Health
Record, Pedigree, copies of the parents' hip and eye certifications,
feeding tips and helpful ideas. We temperament test using the
Volhard method so as to best suit the owner's purpose. All our
puppies are sold on AKC Limited Registration. We do not sell
dogs for breeeding and any we feel that might have show potential
are kept on co-ownership.
